Privacy Policy
EFFECTIVE JULY 6, 2026This Privacy Policy explains how Perseverance Factor, an S corporation operating as Gilad Enterprises ("we," "us," "our"), handles information when you use our mobile applications — including SplitSnap, SpeedSense, AskConvert, and other apps we publish under the AI Utilities name (together, the "Apps") — and the website aiutilities.app.
The short version: our Apps don't have accounts, we don't know who you are, and we don't sell your personal information. The Apps are free and supported by advertising, and the advertising partner (Google AdMob) collects device identifiers to show ads, as described below. When you choose to use an AI feature, the text or image you submit is processed by an AI provider to generate your answer — and nothing more.
1. Information we collect
We do not require accounts. You never give us your name, email address, or contact details to use the Apps.
- Advertising identifiers. Our advertising partner, Google AdMob, collects device advertising identifiers (such as the iOS IDFA or Android Advertising ID), IP address, and general device information to serve and measure ads. See "Advertising" below.
- AI feature inputs. When you tap an AI feature, the text you type (and, for features that read images such as receipts, text extracted from the image on your device) is sent to our server to generate a response. We send an anonymous, randomly generated device identifier with each request so we can apply fair-use rate limits. This identifier is not linked to your identity.
- Diagnostics. The Apps may collect anonymized crash reports and basic usage diagnostics (e.g., which screens are used) to help us fix bugs and improve the Apps.
- Website logs. Like most websites, aiutilities.app records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through our hosting provider, Vercel.
Wherever possible, processing happens on your device. Text recognition (OCR), barcode scanning, and the core functions of every App — split math, speed measurement, unit conversion — run locally and involve no data leaving your phone.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Apps are free because they show ads through Google AdMob, and in some cases through AdMob's mediation partners. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers, IP address, and app interaction data to serve ads, measure their performance, and prevent fraud.
- Where you consent (or where the law allows), ads may be personalized based on your advertising identifier.
- Without consent, you'll see non-personalized ads, which use only contextual information.
- Some features offer optional rewarded ads — you choose to watch an ad in exchange for extra AI actions. These are always opt-in.
You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Your consent choices
- On iOS, the App asks for tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, you still get the full app with non-personalized ads.
- In regions covered by GDPR or similar laws, a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) appears before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time from the App's settings.
- On any device, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your system settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
4. AI features
Each App has a clearly marked AI feature. When you use it:
- Your input travels over an encrypted connection to a server we operate, which forwards it to our AI provider (currently Groq, Inc.) to generate the response.
- We send only what's needed to answer: your input, the app name, and an anonymous rate-limit identifier. No advertising identifiers, no location, no contact information.
- Responses to identical requests may be cached anonymously on our server for up to 7 days so repeated questions don't need reprocessing.
- We do not use your inputs to train AI models, and we do not sell them or use them for advertising.
Please don't submit sensitive personal information (health, financial account numbers, government IDs) through AI features — they're built for bills, speeds, and measurements, not secrets.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers that make the Apps work:
- Google AdMob (and its mediation partners), for advertising, as described above.
- Groq, Inc., to process AI requests you initiate.
- Vercel and Cloudflare, which host our website and AI relay server.
- Authorities, if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
6. Data retention
- AI request caches and rate-limit counters expire automatically — within 7 days at most.
- We keep no databases of user content. Your receipts, speed results, and conversion history live on your device and are deleted when you delete the App.
- Advertising data retention is governed by Google's policies, linked above.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to opt out of the sharing of identifiers for personalized advertising. Because we don't hold accounts or identity-linked data, the most effective controls are the consent and device settings in Section 3 — but for any request or question, email us at michaelgilad3@gmail.com and we'll help. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
8. Children
The Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
All network traffic between the Apps, our servers, and our providers uses encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We minimize what we collect in the first place — the best-protected data is the data that never leaves your phone.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted in the Apps where practical.
